Charlotte Cattrall BA (Hons), PGCE, QTS
Director & Founder

Charlotte is a qualified teacher, practitioner, actor, and director with over sixteen years’ experience in arts education. She trained at leading drama conservatoires and universities including Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and Royal Holloway University of London.

​

Charlotte holds a PGCE in Secondary Drama and English from UCL Institute of Education with Qualified Teacher Status and has worked as a Head of Drama and Drama Teacher in independent and state schools in London and Hong Kong. She is currently completing an MA in Actor Training and Coaching at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

​

She has taught LAMDA for fifteen years with a 100% examination success rate and sits on the board of LAMDA Examiners.

 

Alongside her teaching, Charlotte continues to work professionally as a theatre director and is passionate about making performing arts education accessible, supporting young people’s confidence, wellbeing, and creative development.

Chloe Massey  MA (Cantab)
Teacher

Chloe read English at University of Cambridge before training as an actor at LAMDA and École Philippe Gaulier in Paris. She brings over fifteen years of professional experience to her teaching, combining rigorous academic training with a broad performance background.

​

Alongside her work as a teacher, Chloe has built an extensive career in theatre, television, and voice acting. She has performed at leading venues including the Old Vic, Soho Theatre, and Royal Exchange Theatre, and appeared in major television productions for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, and Sky. This ongoing industry experience informs her teaching and ensures her approach remains current, practical, and relevant for students.

​

Chloe is also one of the UK’s leading voice artists, Her expertise in voice, text analysis, clarity of expression, and storytelling is central to her teaching practice, supporting students in developing strong vocal technique, confidence, and communication skills.​

​

Chloe currently teaches LAMDA Acting classes at Whitgift School.

Claire Amias BA (Hons), MA
Teacher

Claire is an experienced drama teacher and acting coach with exceptional academic and professional training. She holds a BA in Theatre Acting from Bretton Hall and an MA in Text and Performance Studies from Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).

​

She has taught LAMDA for many years, achieving an excellent rate of Distinctions, and has extensive experience working with students of all ages and abilities.

 

Claire’s work as a workshop leader includes collaborations with the Ambassador Theatre Group, the Open University, and the Donmar Warehouse, supporting students in developing strong performance, text, and audition skills.

​

Claire is passionate about high-quality drama education and creating supportive learning environments where students can grow in confidence and ability.

​

Claire teaches LAMDA Acting classes at Whitgift School.

Lucy Walker BA (Hons)

Lucy is an actor and drama teacher with a strong background in professional performance and arts education. She graduated from the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts with a BA (Hons) in Acting and trained previously at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts and Italia Conti.

​

Lucy has taught LAMDA for several years, specialising in Acting and focusing on building children’s confidence within a supportive, nurturing environment. Her teaching is informed by her ongoing professional work as an actor, with experience across theatre, film, and television, ensuring her practice remains current, innovative, and relevant to young people.

​

Passionate about high-quality performing arts education, Lucy is committed to helping young people discover their talents, develop creativity, and grow in self-confidence.

​

Lucy teaches LAMDA Communication and Acting classes at Hurlingham Prep School, Larmenier and Sacred Heart School and St. Benedict's School.

Maeliss Shaban BA (Hons)
Teacher

Maeliss is a passionate and dedicated Actor and LAMDA Teacher. She trained at the prestigious Guildford School of Acting, graduating with a BA (Hons) in Acting.

 

Since graduating, she has worked across theatre, R&D projects, short films, and music videos. Now approaching her fifth year of teaching LAMDA, Maeliss delivers both private and group classes and holds an exceptional 97% distinction rate. Her students have gone on to attend leading drama schools such as The BRIT School and ArtsEd, and have secured roles in West End productions, television series, and feature films.

 

Maeliss is committed to teaching young people the true craft of acting as it is taught in accredited drama schools and practised in the industry across stage and screen. She believes in nurturing skills that extend far beyond performance — including confidence, communication, empathy, and emotional awareness.

 

Maeliss currently teaches LAMDA Acting classes at Chestnut Grove School.

Dominic Varney BA (Hons), MA
Teacher

Dominic is a teacher, facilitator, actor, and musical theatre writer. He holds a BA in Drama with First Class Honours from the University of Manchester and an MA in Acting from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

​

Dominic has extensive experience working with children and young people in creative settings, delivering high-quality drama training that builds confidence, technical skill, and a love of performance.

 

Alongside his teaching practice, he is an accomplished musical theatre writer, with work produced and performed in theatres nationwide, bringing valuable industry insight into the classroom.

​

Dominic teaches LAMDA Communication and Acting classes at St Benedict's School.

Hannah Redfern BA (Hons)
Teacher

Hannah is an actor and facilitator who graduated with a BA in Acting with First Class Honours from Rose Bruford College.

​

She has taught LAMDA private and group sessions for several years with outstanding results and has completed LAMDA Syllabus in Practice training. Hannah also trained in facilitation with the National Youth Theatre and has delivered their summer school courses for NYT members.

​

Passionate about widening access to the arts, Hannah creates a supportive, imaginative, and empowering learning environment, helping young people build confidence, develop their creative voice, and realise their full potential.

​

Hannah teaches LAMDA Communication & Acting classes at Chestnut Grove Academy, St. Benedict's School & Larmenier and Sacred Heart School.

Laura Kressley BA (Hons), MFA, PhD

Laura is a freelance dramaturg, critic, producer, and pedagogue who originally trained as an actor and director in the USA.

 

With over twenty years’ experience teaching speech and drama to young people, with a particular focus on preparing students for LAMDA examinations.

​

Laura is also a LAMDA examiner working across the UK, giving her extensive knowledge of the syllabi and a clear understanding of how to support students in achieving their best possible results. She completed her PhD in embedded criticism and dramaturgy at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, where she also works as a visiting lecturer across MA and MFA courses.

Laura teaches LAMDA Acting classes at Whitgift School.

Louise Sewell

Louise is an experienced Speech & Drama and Musical Theatre teacher who has taught LAMDA for many years, consistently achieving excellent results with students of all ages and abilities.

​

She trained in Musical Theatre at Laine Theatre Arts before performing professionally in numerous stage productions, UK  and International tours. Her professional performance experience now directly informs her teaching, bringing knowledge of the professional industry into every lesson.

​

Louise is passionate about teaching and combines her professional performance experience with a strong understanding of how children learn. Her lessons are educational, creative, and fun, supporting students to grow in confidence, skill, and self-belief.

​

Louise teaches LAMDA Communication & Acting classes at St. Benedict's School & Larmenier and Sacred Heart.

Georgia Watts BA (Hons)
Teacher

Georgia is an actor and teacher with a strong background in both performance and arts education. She graduated with a BA (Hons) in Acting from the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts.

​

Her recent professional credits include Witness for the Prosecution in the West End and And Then There Were None, touring across China. Alongside her acting career, Georgia teaches LAMDA Speech & Drama, specialising in Acting, and is passionate about creating a supportive and encouraging environment where young people can build confidence and develop strong performance skills.

​

Georgia’s teaching is informed by her ongoing work in theatre and film, ensuring her approach remains fresh, relevant, and engaging. Committed to high-quality performing arts education, she aims to inspire creativity, nurture talent, and support students in growing self-belief.

​

Georgia teaches LAMDA Communication & Acting classes at Hurlingham Prep School.
