Our Story
Performworks Productions was founded and is directed by Charlotte Cattrall who was once a shy and quiet child who lacked confidence and self-esteem but who loved the theatre and singing. At every Parents evening, her Parents were told by Teachers that she was a hardworking student but was reluctant to get involved in class discussions so she needed to find her voice and speak up more. She enrolled in LAMDA Speech & Drama lessons at school taught by an inspiring and supportive teacher in a bid to build her communication skills and and she thrived. The highlight of her week was that hour where she could express herself, become someone else and share this with her friends.
The transformation was exceptional, she joined the debate team, excelled in public speaking, performed professionally for King Charles III and achieved Drama awards and gold medals in Speech & Drama festivals. Her literacy, school attendance and academics also improved and she went on to achieve highly in her other subjects too. And thus, Performworks Productions was born under her guidance, a beacon of inspiration for all who seek to find their voice and share their magic with the world. She started Performworks to help other young people experience the same transformation in their confidence, self-esteem and achievements.
