School Partnerships

Research shows that children who study the arts are 4 times more likely to be recognised for academic achievement and 3 times more likely to demonstrate good school attendance which has a valuable impact on their education.

As qualified teachers we understand that the pastoral support and well-being of children is as equally important as their academic achievement and our core values of promoting confidence, communication, self-esteem and collaboration have a significant influence on their physical and mental health.

"I would recommend Performworks, absolutely...the team are passionate about what they do, and that passion radiates into the space. For a small department Performworks have really helped to support the enrichment we offer....more and more students wish to join which is testament to the work Performworks is doing with our young people. I have seen more students audition for our school musical than ever before, I have also seen more students interested in Drama as well as new friendships and confidence. For our KS4 students I believe it has given them a sense of direction with many now set on pursuing acting at KS5 and beyond...I have thoroughly loved popping into sessions and seeing the positive, creative and supportive space that has been created for our young people. Communication has been outstanding with both myself and parent/carers which has made welcoming LAMDA to CGA super easy. It feels like Performworks were always meant to be here...LAMDA is a qualification, and in a world where the arts need to continuously justify their value this holds weight...It allows our students to develop their sense of self whilst exploring other identities, builds their confidence, esteem and voice... it reinforces a sense of community through a joint interest bringing together students who would not usually be in the same space. Performworks is run by a qualified teacher and industry professional who understands the demands of the industry but also has developed the pedagogical approach to aid students learning and development.”

We can work with your school to provide Speech and Drama education specialists who enhance your performing arts provision and help to embed the arts into your curriculum by providing classes that are engaging and exciting, enabling Pupils to benefit from the transformative power of the arts.

Schools working towards the Artsmark Awards have benefitted from the range of opportunities we provide and 100% of the Pupils we have taught achieved a Distinction or Merit in their Ofqual accredited LAMDA examinations.Lots of our Pupils have achieved Drama scholarships at leading secondary schools and represented their school in national competitions. The impact LAMDA has on Pupils is clearly visible in assemblies, productions and in their performance in other subjects.

We can provide weekly group Speech & Drama and/or Musical Theatre LAMDA classes as part of your current after-school provision, during lunch-times or during the day time on rotation. Every child has the opportunity to take a LAMDA examination every year and our 100% success rate means that our Pupils build in confidence with a sense of self-achievement at the end of each academic year.

We take care of all correspondence, invoicing and administration to avoid contributing to the already busy workload of your staff and provide experienced LAMDA centre co-ordinators who will organise the examinations.

We provide free taster sessions to all schools so your Pupils can try our classes prior to signing up.
